Natural Monument and Snowdrops at Vrchy

One particularly characteristic landscape feature is the protected Pod Vrchy Natural Monument. It is a mixed forest in the cadastral area of Bohuslavice nad Vláří. In the Zlín District, Pod Vrchy is considered the site with the greatest species diversity of snowdrop (Galanthus nivalis).

In spring, thousands of snowdrops can be observed on the northeastern slope below Vrchy mountain, at 461 m above sea level, on the right valley slope of the Vlára. The elevation refers to Vrchy mountain; this site lies approximately 1.5 km southeast of Bohuslavice nad Vláří. The reference to the right valley slope places the observation site along the Vlára.

A Cycling Stage on the Bevlava Cycle Path

The Bevlava Cycle Path leads from Brumov-Bylnice to Bohuslavice nad Vláří. The section is 8.8 km long and has an elevation difference of 33 m. The route is considered an easy ride and partly runs over unpaved terrain. The length and elevation difference refer to the section described.

Cultural Traces from the 19th Century to 1942

Among the most distinctive historical landmarks is the statue of Saint Florian, considered the oldest surviving cultural monument in Bohuslavice nad Vláří. The Chapel of Our Lady of Perpetual Help was consecrated on 18 October 1942. Next to the chapel there is also a statue of Our Lady of Lourdes from 1898. The testimonies differ in form: in addition to religious statues and the chapel, the historical heritage also includes a sandstone cross, a war memorial and prehistoric finds.

On the road to Popov stands a sandstone cross with a stone figure of the crucified Christ dating from 1865. The archaeological record goes back even further in the Vyšehrad area in the cadastral territory of Bohuslavice nad Vláří, where prehistoric finds of the Lusatian Urnfield culture were discovered.

The monument to the inhabitants of Bohuslavice nad Vláří who fell in the First World War is also part of the village's historical character. It was ceremonially unveiled in 1928 and is a sandstone work by a stonemason. Together with the cross, chapel, statues and prehistoric finds, it creates a chronological span extending from the Urnfield culture through the 19th century to the 20th century.
