Hlinka offers both a protected natural area and traces of a complex local history. The Osoblažský výběžek Nature Reserve covers the cadastral area of Hlinka. The fire-bellied toad (Bombina bombina) is protected in the Osoblažský výběžek Nature Reserve. Bombina bombina is the scientific name of the protected fire-bellied toad; both names refer to the same species, which is protected in the nature reserve. This theme is complemented by a route and several historical sites in the village. History in the Memorial, Fortress and Church

The local history can be traced through several clearly distinct sites. The Hlinka memorial to those who fell in the First World War was created by the stonemason Ferdinand Schroth and the sculpture teacher H. Strauss.

The fortress of Hlinka also represents a significant historical turning point. It burned down in 1626 and was only a ruin by 1648. For your visit, this offers a different historical perspective from that of a completely preserved complex: the focus here is on the fire and the subsequently documented state as a ruin.

Another chronological arc can be seen at the Church of St. Valentine in Hlinka. It has foundations dating from the 17th century and was rebuilt in the 19th century. On 2 August 1993, the church was declared a cultural monument. This building therefore brings together different layers of construction and remembrance, which can be precisely understood through its foundations, the later rebuilding and its recognition as a cultural monument.
