Klučov combines a distinctive hilly landscape with short cultural discoveries and several documented routes. The built-up part of the village lies at the foot of Klučovská hora in the valley of the Střížovský potok stream at an elevation of 537 m.

Landscape and views around Klučov

Klučovská hora reaches an elevation of 595.5 m. In clear weather, it offers views of the Pálava Hills and the Alps. This view depends on weather conditions and is a particular highlight for anyone who wants to combine a tour with expansive landscape scenery.

Below Klučovská hora lies Horák Pond, and the Klučovský kopec Natural Monument is located nearby. The area was first placed under protection on 28 October 1982. It preserves populations of several protected species, especially the black pasque flower.

Hiking and cycling with routes of different lengths

For a hike across the slopes of Klučovská hora, the 18.9 km route “In Search for Views under Klučovská hora” is described. It follows forest paths and the yellow-marked hiking trail along the slope of Klučovská hora. The route therefore combines forest sections with the prospect of views, without both experiences necessarily occurring in the same place.

The Třebíčský Circuit also passes through Klučov and is marked with a yellow tourist trail marking. In connection with this hiking route, Klučov is also listed as a bus stop. This information describes the entry in the route itinerary, not any additional timetable or a specific current connection.

Cyclists can choose between several described options. Cycle Route 401 connects Třebíč, Klučov, Lipník, Hrotovice and Dukovany. The 35–40 km cycling tour “Into the Forests beyond Lipník” follows the wooded ridge of Klučovská hora to Klučov and continues to Lipník. A shorter alternative is the 16 km cycling route “To the Pasque Flowers and the Alpine Viewpoint”. It leads over Klučovská hora and returns to Třebíč via Cycle Route 401. This makes it possible to compare a longer ride along the ridge with a more compact circular route through the same landscape area.

A cultural detail in the village

In addition to nature and routes, Klučov also offers a small, characteristic insight into the region’s architectural heritage. House No. 17 on the village green preserves a kitchen with a Czech flat vault. This detail complements the landscape experiences with a concrete glimpse of the historic design of a house in the village.

Choose accommodation according to your preferred holiday focus

When choosing accommodation, you can assess Klučov primarily according to the type of excursion you want to focus on. The aspects described range from a hike on forest paths and yellow-marked trails, to cycling tours along the ridge, protected species in the Klučovský kopec protected area, and the kitchen with its Czech flat vault in House No. 17. Anyone wishing to combine several interests can take these different destinations into account when searching for the right stay, without limiting the landscape to just one activity.

To compare other destinations in the same selection, you can also look at Bohušice (Bohušice), Kojatín (Kojatín), Hroznatín (Hroznatín), Kostníky (Kostníky), Číměř (Číměř), Výčapy (Výčapy), Dolní Lažany (Dolní Lažany) and Láz (Láz).
