Chřenovice

Chřenovice combines a medieval castle, a distinctive church, and the landscape along the Sázava. Chřenovice Castle was probably founded before 1289 by Léva of Janovice. In 1545, it was described as abandoned. More than 250 years lie between these two dates. The castle was built on a wooded rocky promontory. The Sázava flows along one side, with the Bystřice stream to the east. The woods, rocky promontory, and the two waterways therefore shape the setting in which the castle stands.

A second cultural landmark is located on the southern edge of Chřenovice. The Church of Saint Wenceslas stands there, a single-nave building of Gothic origin with preserved Romanesque elements. It has a prismatic tower on its western side. The Sázava, Fishing, and a Historic Route
