Šumavský den hasičů is a traditional event in Dřešín and has been held there since 2011. Since 2014, it has also been aimed at adult firefighters. Everyone interested in firefighting sports is invited to Šumavský den hasičů. For families, this creates a clear difference from a purely nature-focused day: children are just as explicitly at the centre as adult firefighters and people interested in this sport.

Another established tradition is the accordion gathering “Setkání harmonikářů na Podlesí”. SDH Dřešín has been organising it since 2009. Together with the firefighting day, the gathering shows that, alongside its landscapes, Dřešín is also shaped by recurring community events.
