Gothic Church and Historic Town Layout

The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Bavorov is one of the most important Gothic buildings in South Bohemia. Its construction was probably completed by 1384. It stands on the western edge of Bavorov’s original town center and forms a prominent landmark of the town. As a distinctive point of reference, it connects the historic town structure with a clearly recognizable architectural landmark.
