Zábřeh combines water-based activities with church and museum history, as well as two clearly defined options for exploring the area. You can begin your stay with a visit to an indoor or outdoor swimming pool, delve into collections and religious history, or set out on the educational trail and a cycling route from the railway station. Cultural events also broaden the range of experiences. This gives you a city where water, history and routes for exploring offer different focal points when planning your trip.

Water-based activities at the swimming centre

The Plavecký areál Zábřeh swimming centre has an indoor pool measuring 25 × 15 m with six swimming lanes. Outdoors, there is a 50 m swimming and leisure zone. For a day of swimming with different options, the centre also offers a 60 m water slide that ends in a children's pool. Those who want to swim in lanes can choose the indoor area; the outdoor facility is designed for combining swimming and relaxation. The slide complements these two options with a section leading to the children's pool. When planning your day, you can therefore focus on the indoor pool, outdoor area or slide. If you have more time available, you can include several options; during a shorter stay, one area can be the main focus.

Museums, a church and a cultural monument

The Zábřeh Museum is located in Dům Pod Podloubím on the upper part of Masarykovo náměstí. Dům Pod Podloubím is listed in the Czech Central Register of Immovable Cultural Monuments. The Farní muzeum Zábřeh features a lapidarium, a collection of historic liturgical objects, a coin hoard containing 1,200 coins and an exhibition on the history of the church and its bells. The lapidarium draws attention to stone artefacts, while the historic liturgical objects define the collection's religious character. The hoard of 1,200 coins adds its own historical note; the exhibition on the history of the church and its bells returns the focus to the religious theme.

The Church of sv. Bartoloměje was built on the site of Zábřeh's original church according to plans by Domenico Martinelli in the second half of the 18th century. By prior arrangement, it is possible to visit the tower of the Church of sv. Bartoloměje with its bells, as well as the exhibition of the Farní muzeum Zábřeh. For planning purposes, this means that the tower, bells and exhibition can be visited by prior arrangement.

Educational trail and cycling route from the railway station

The Welzlova naučná stezka educational trail begins at Zábřeh railway station. Oborník Pond is the trail's third stop. The Ochutnej Moravu na kole route also begins and ends at the railway station. ČD operates a bicycle rental service there. This means that two different excursion options with their own structures are available at the railway station: the educational trail leads to a stop at the pond, while the cycling route returns to its starting point. When choosing, you can therefore distinguish between an educational trail and a circular cycling route with bicycle rental at the starting point.

Further cultural experiences

At Zámek Skalička, the owners organise cultural and social events for the general public. If you would like to consider other places besides Zábřeh when planning your trip, you can also check Sudkov, Velké Vrbno, Jakubovice, Heroltice, Krchleby, Bludov, Loštice and Hynčina.
