Postřelmůvek combines a landscape between flatlands and hills with prominent cultural monuments, cycling routes and regional traditions. From a tourism perspective, the village is part of the Jeseníky mountain region and therefore offers various ways to shape your stay: you can combine nature, views, architectural heritage and a special culinary event.

Landscape between the Morava Lowland and the Zábřezská vrchovina Highlands

Postřelmůvek lies at an altitude of 322 m in a valley depression. The eastern part of the cadastral territory extends into the lowlands along the upper course of the Morava, while the western part occupies the first slopes of the Zábřežská vrchovina Highlands. A defining landscape feature is Homole, a volcanic hill. Its summit and viewing point lie at an altitude of 516 m and have been owned by the municipality since 2019. The elevation difference of 194 metres marks the contrast within Postřelmůvek between the valley depression and the volcanic hill as two landscape areas of the village.

Cycling, a nature trail and far-reaching views

Cycling route 6230 runs through Postřelmůvek on the section between Rovensko and Vyšehoří. Homole is also the third stop on the “Kopretinčina NS Svébohov” nature trail. From Homole, there are views towards Šumperk and Zábřeh, across the lowlands of Pomoraví and towards landscapes shaped by the ridges of the Jeseníky Mountains.

Architectural heritage in small, tangible details

Among the notable buildings is the Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk. It is a small, oriented brick building on a rectangular floor plan with a semicircular apse. Inside, the chapel has a flat ceiling with stucco decoration and a masonry altar table.

Building No. 1 is a vernacular structure from 1851 with an earthen embankment and a façade articulated with lime plaster. No. 20 dates from the mid-19th century, belongs to the smallholder house type and has a stable under the same roof.

Orientation for your stay

The connecting road runs from Zábřeh via Rovensko and Postřelmůvek to Vyšehoří and then to the main road from Šumperk to Čechy. This connection helps you place Postřelmůvek within your broader itinerary and stay planning. When choosing accommodation, you can be guided by your own priorities: landscape and views, cycling, the nature trail, architectural heritage or regional traditions each offer a different reason to explore the village more closely.

“Homolácký guláš” as a local event

The village’s culinary character includes a competition for the best “Homolácký guláš”. On 5 September 2026 from 1:30 p.m., the 3rd international edition of a kettle goulash competition will take place at the U Skály grounds in Postřelmůvek. The event complements the landscape and cultural impressions with an explicitly local tradition.
