Myslejovice lies on the eastern edge of the Drahanská vrchovina and is surrounded by the forests of the Březina Military Training Area. As a result, a forested landscape and an unusually dense historical past come together here. If you would like to combine nature, local history, and smaller discoveries on your trip, Myslejovice offers several distinct points of interest.

Forests, Hills, and the Myslejovická Reservoir

The Myslejovická Reservoir lies within the Březina Military Training Area. Fishing at the reservoir is restricted due to military training activities. This special circumstance is part of understanding the area: the landscape is shaped not only by its natural features but also by how the area is used.

The wooded hill of Zámčisko lies west of Myslejovice, about 500 meters from the village. A small castle stood there in the Middle Ages. The former castle site is not publicly accessible without permission because it lies within the Březina Military Training Area. Near the Winterovka cabin, west of Myslejovice, there is also a small monument commemorating Karl Winter's death in 1912.

Fortifications and Traces of Early Settlement

The Spálený kopec is home to the remains of a fortification dating from the transition between the Late Bronze Age and the Early Iron Age, dated to the 9th to 7th centuries BC. The fortification consists of three stone-and-clay-built ramparts. Due to its small size and the limited amount of finds, it is probably considered a refuge site. For visitors who prefer to learn about historical landscapes through tangible remains rather than large museum displays, this site provides a particularly vivid connection to prehistory.

The archaeological landscape around Myslejovice also includes the remains of fortifications from the period of early Slavic settlement on the nearby hills of Kozákov, Zámčisko, and Spálený vrch. Traces of settlement from the Stone Age, Bronze Age, and Gallic culture have also been found around Myslejovice. The various periods are therefore represented not only by individual dates but also form a broad chronological spectrum of regional history.

Křéba and History Around the Village

The remains of the hillfort known as Křéba lie about 400 meters from the center of Myslejovice. The Křéba archaeological site is freely accessible. Its southern and western sides descend above the Brodečka and a left-bank tributary; the difference in elevation is up to 60 meters. In 1991, pottery fragments from the Late Neolithic Funnelbeaker culture were found at Křéba. This site therefore combines a clearly described terrain setting with an archaeological find from the Neolithic period.

Church and Cycling Route

The village is home to the Church of the Annunciation, a Baroque building dating from 1788. It complements the prehistoric and medieval traces with a preserved structure from the later history of the village. A marked local cycling route also passes through Myslejovice. This makes it possible to combine exploring the village with a bike ride without reducing the character of the surroundings to a single attraction.
