Discover Ludmírov: Nature, Trails and Local History
Accommodation in Ludmírov
Ludmírov combines protected nature, trails through Kladecko Nature Park and visible traces of local history. In Kladecko Nature Park, protected rocky areas alternate with woodland and meadow landscapes as well as deep valleys. Průchodnice is particularly striking: the nature reserve protects a rock formation made of Devonian limestone with a cave and two rock gates.
Forests, rocks and protected habitats
Průchodnice comprises primeval beech and mixed forests with rare plants such as Turk's cap lily and several orchid species. At the same time, the area serves as an overwintering site for the protected barbastelle bat. The protected Skalky area preserves a primeval woodland on a small rocky hill, dominated by beech and hornbeam. Its species-rich herb layer includes numerous rare and protected plants, including lily of the valley, the white helleborine and the broad-leaved helleborine.
The Rudka Nature Reserve in Kladecko Nature Park protects mixed forest and adjacent meadows on a limestone rock with protected herbaceous species. The entire administrative area of Ludmírov, including its local parts, lies within Kladecko Nature Park. The landscape alternates between woodland sections and agriculturally used areas; deep valleys of the watercourses, including the Špraněk, divide it. This makes it possible to combine rocks, forest, meadows and valleys into a single regional landscape for days spent in nature with changing impressions.
Hiking and cycling from different starting points
A marked blue hiking trail runs through the administrative area along the route Blansko – Jaroměřice – Kladky – Milkov farma – Kadeřín – Javoříčko. A marked green hiking trail touches the southern edge of the administrative area and leads from Nádraží ČD Jesenec via Kladky, Hamerky, Kozov and Bouzov to Bílá Lhota. In addition, existing cycle route No. 5030 between Konice and Bouzov runs through the administrative area of Ludmírov. The three connections differ in their routes and destinations and help you align your trip planning with the route you want. For day planning, the distinction between a trail through the administrative area, a route along its edge and a connection between two places is relevant.
Chapel, monuments and a long local history
In the center of Ludmírov stands the Chapel of St. Anne, founded in 1836. Ludmírov is first documented in a written entry dated November 15, 1382. Boží muka, a wayside shrine on the road to Ponikev in Ludmírov, has been protected as an immovable cultural monument since May 3, 1958. The rural Empire-style homestead No. 23 in the northwestern part of Ludmírov has also been protected since May 3, 1958. Settlement dating from the Neolithic and Bronze Age has also been documented in the Ludmírov–Průchodnice locality. The local history adds several historical layers to these natural features.
