Discover Rochlitz An Der Iser

Rochlitz An Der Iser combines mountain scenery, winter sports, easy trails and regional culture into a diverse travel destination. Between lookout structures, traditional events and historic sites, you will find various ways to spend your days: active hours on the slopes, relaxed discoveries on foot or excursions to castles and ruins in the surrounding area.

Ski slopes and mountain operations in different seasons

Nahoru Resort Rokytnice has 11 ski slopes of varying difficulty levels. The offer ranges from easy blue slopes to challenging black slopes and covers a total of 13 km. This allows you to tailor your winter sports day to your preferred level, without all routes having the same character.

A special feature for planning your visit regardless of the season is the Horní Domky chairlift. It operates year-round and also transports bicycles in summer. This gives you a different perspective on your stay in the mountains: in winter, the lift is connected with the ski slopes, while in summer bicycles are explicitly included in the transport service.

Educational trail, viewpoints and easy discoveries

The very easy Dřevosochání educational trail leads to the picturesque Františkov district of Rokytnice nad Jizerou and is suitable for pedestrians and cyclists. The route runs for 1.1 km from the Na vrších crossroads in Horní Rokytnice nad Jizerou to Starý Kravín in Františkov. This allows you to combine a short route with a clear destination and choose between a tour on foot or by bicycle.

The educational trail is dedicated to a traditional woodcarving event held in Františkov each year around the transition from June to July. Landscape and craftsmanship come together here: you encounter not only a path through the surrounding area, but also a regional tradition with a fixed seasonal connection.

The Hlídka na Stráži forest park on Stráž Mountain is open to the public and includes lookout structures as well as new rest areas. From Hlídka na Stráži, you can enjoy views over the Rokytnice Valley, of Lysá Mountain and Kotel, and toward Paseky and Vysoké nad Jizerou. Čertova hora is located in the immediate vicinity of Rokytnice nad Jizerou; the mountains Hvězda and Zadní Plech are in the surrounding area.

Culture and regional history

Several destinations with a historic character are located in the wider regional surroundings of Rokytnice nad Jizerou: Zamek Chojnik Castle, the Spalona Strażnica ruins, Zamek Gryf Castle and Lázně Church. This allows you to include different forms of regional history in your excursion planning without limiting yourself to a single type of place.

The Dvoračky mountain chalet is also one of the region's notable destinations. It is visited for its in-house bakery, home-style cooking and mountain specialties. At the same time, it points to the region's sporting history: the seventh Bohemian Skiing Championship was held in Dvoračky in February 1902.

Additional nature destinations complement the cultural surroundings. Wodospad Kamieńczyka Waterfall is located in the vicinity of Rokytnice nad Jizerou. For your choice between mountain views, short routes, winter sports and regional history, Rochlitz An Der Iser therefore offers various thematic focal points.
