Dubai based Emirates Airline recenly published a press release stating that the company is going to launch a daily flight to Prague starting from July 1, 2010. The flight to the capital of the Czech Republic is the third announced new flight for the coming year. Prague is to become the 24th destination in Europe for Emirates Airline.

The company’s chairman and CEO Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum said: "This is another new and exciting development for Emirates, embracing a popular European tourist destination and an emerging market. We have been keen to add Prague to our six continent network, and now the time is right to start up our 24th European destination."

It should be noted that Emirates has already been moving passengers from Prague to Dubai via transit airports, e. g. Vienna. So the direct flight will come in handy making such a journey more pleasant and convenient. Especially as Prague becomes more popular and more frequent visited European travel destination and number of passengers has been growing steadily.

One more important thing is growth of export goods such as vehicles, machinery, and so on. Emirate’s vice president Ram Menen reported: "The launch of services to Prague and the new trade channel it opens up is great news on the cargo side as it coincides with a continuing resurgence of cargo traffic globally. Emerging markets, such as the Czech Republic, play an important role in that equation."

The first EK 139 flight from Dubai to Prague is to depart at 10:30 on July 1, 2010 and arrive to the Czech capital at 14:50 local time. Anr the return EK 140 flight is to leave Prague at 16:20 and be back to Dubai airport at 00:15 the next day. Passengers are to be cerried by an Airbus A330 having 278 seats in total.
