How to choose based on skill and riding style
A snowpark doesn’t mean every line is suitable for every skill level. What matters is the size and spacing of the features, your ability to handle the approach safely, and whether you can skip features. For first attempts, rollers, small boxes and easy fun lines are better suited than medium or large jumps. Advanced riders can look specifically for rails, kickers or varied lines, but should also check the setup in person: features and their difficulty can change over the course of the season.
For beginners: funtracks and easy lines
The Funpark at Klínovec is designated as an area with low-difficulty freestyle and skicross features. A dedicated lift in the Miniareál takes you to this zone. The Hromovka funtrack in Špindlerův Mlýn combines rollers, bumps, boxes and jumps; the operator describes it as suitable for beginners and advanced riders. At Dolní Morava, the operator specifically mentions families and beginners as well as experienced riders. This makes it an option for mixed groups, but you should still choose a suitable line once you’re there.
For more of a challenge: Horní Mísečky and Neklid
The Horní Mísečky Snowpark is in the middle section of the ski area and is served by a separate lift. The operator has designed its features for both less experienced and more advanced snowboarders and skiers. The adjoining funtrack on the Machytka 13a piste has rollers, bumps and banked turns; it’s better suited to a playful run than to a dedicated jump line.
At Neklid near Klínovec, the CineStar Snowpark lies between the Moser and Karásek pistes. The park offers M- and L-level jumps, rails and a medium-difficulty roller line. For the ride up, the operator lists a chairlift and a nearby drag lift. If you can’t confidently manage the larger jumps, stick to the easy fun line or skip the feature. The Krkonoše region and the Giant Mountains are also a good choice if you’d like to combine snowpark days with other winter activities.
Plan your journey, season and equipment
Snowparks depend on snow conditions, grooming and lift operations at each ski area. A season opening announced for December 12, 2026, at Svatý Petr in Špindlerův Mlýn is not a separate opening date for Horní Mísečky or Hromovka. Check the operating status of the specific zone before arranging travel or accommodation. On October 11, 2026, CineStar and the Funpark at Klínovec were marked “Out of operation.” That day, Dolní Morava’s current piste report showed 0 of 10 km open. This snapshot does not predict later opening days.
Lift access also varies: Horní Mísečky has a dedicated lift for the snowpark, the Funpark at Klínovec has a lift in the Miniareál, and according to the operator, CineStar has two ways to get up. Whether the right lift pass includes access and which lifts are open on a particular day depends on the applicable fare and operating conditions. If you’re spending several days in the country, compare freestyle with cross-country skiing, downhill skiing and winter hiking in the overview of winter sports in the Czech Republic.
Before your first run, check each line from above or from a safe position at the side, and choose only features that match your ability. Don’t stop on the approach or in the landing area. A helmet, back protector and other suitable protective gear are recommended; Klínovec explicitly lists them in its park rules. For children and less experienced riders, supervisors should choose an easy route together with them rather than deciding solely based on age or group membership.
Combine the region with an overnight stay
A snowpark is usually just one part of the day’s activities. In changeable weather, or when a group has different interests, it helps to stay somewhere with access to other winter activities. The Jizera Mountains travel guide can help you plan regional activities, from downhill and cross-country skiing to time in nature. One possible base between the Jizerské hory and Krkonoše is the accommodation in Rejdice; availability and suitability depend on your dates and the provider’s information.
