Photo exhibition dedicated to the last president of Czechoslovakia and the first president of the Czech Republic, Vaclav Havel, was opened in Prague today. From June 25 to July 6 its visitors will be able to see unique photos provided by the journalistic agency ÄŒTK. On these photos Vaclav Havel appears not only as a president, but as a vibrant, eccentric and temperamental personality.
The exhibition is dated to half a year since the death of Vaclav Havel on December 18, 2011. More than 100 large-format photographs tell about the Havel’s life from a writer and dissident to the Czech president and his return to the normal life of the artist and ordinary citizen.
The exhibition presents Vaclav Havel in the formal atmosphere during his presidency, as well as rare moments of relaxation after a hard work.
The photos displayed at the exhibition in Prague were created by 24 talented photographers of the CTK agency. They allow all visitors to see the life of the Czech president through the viewfinder covering the period from 1988 to 2011.
