The National Student award in the Czech design was given to a student from the town of Usti nad Labem Anna Mareshova for a series of sex toys. Vibrators and other intimate production, which was conceptually designed by Mareshova, were marked by the jury for the perfect combination of style and ingenious technology.

Designer project, which was called «Whoop-de-doo - sexual aid for women and not only", was selected from 58 works. Members of the jury applauded the courage and creativity in development of such a complicated theme.

Among the criteria for evaluating the work were aesthetic component, originality, innovation, functionality, and the role of the design work that it can play in social environment.

According to the author of the concept Anna Mareshova, her goal was to create a collection of sex toys that could be arousing, but not shaming. In addition, all items of the collection should look quite specific to give a clear idea of its purpose, reports praguemonitor.com.

It should be noted that the work was made by Mareshova at a professional level. Before the start of designing sex toys the author consulted with several specialists, including experienced gynecologists, sexologists, as well as technicians. One of the key tools in studying the needs of potential customers was a special questionnaire, which Mareshova published and distributed among the focus group members. It helped the student to better understand what do actually women need as a sex aid.

Sexual culture in the Czech Republic became in the focus in recent days not only because the design finds, but also as part of the educational process. Currently in the Czech society is discussed the possibility of introducing sex education in schools. To date the idea is supported by 16% of Czechs. Another 9% are against.
