A rare auction, organized by the Czech auction house AUREA Numismatika, will be held on December 4-5, 2010 in Prague-4 in the Conference Center City (Konferencni centrum City). At the auction will be exhibited unique coins, banknotes and medals.
Unique Auction of AUREA Numismatika will begin on Saturday December 4 at 8-30 in the heart of the Czech capital, Prague 4 district, in the Conference Center City (Konferencni centrum City, Na strzi 1702/65, Praha 4 - Pankrac).
The main auction lots in Prague will become unique collection coins, banknotes and antique medals. The crown jewel of the auction will be quite exceptional lot of Celtic gold coins, unique coins of the Roman Empire, including coins of Alexander of Macedon (Alexander III the Great 336 - 323 BC), Emperor Augustus (27 BC - 14 AD), Emperor Tiberius (14-37 AD), Emperor Antoninus Pius (86-161 AD), Emperor Gordianus III (238-244 AD), Emperor Marcianus Flavius (450-457 AD), Emperor Theodosius II (402-450 AD), Byzantine emperor Heraclius (610-641 AD), Byzantine Emperor Constans (641-668 AD), Holy Roman Emperor, King of Hungary, Germany and the Czech Republic, Prince Elector of Brandenburg and Duke of Luxemburg, Sigismund I of Luxembourg (Zikmund Lucemburský, 1387-1437).
At auction will also be exhibited a number of ancient European and world coins (Hawaii, Italy, the former Yugoslav Republic, Cuba, Mexico, Ireland, Poland), a number of ancient coins of Czech Bohemia and Silesia, the coins of the Holy Roman Empire. A unique lot will be coins and medals of the Russian empire that are especially in demand among Russian collectors.
